The State Flag of Kansas (The Sunflower State)

Kansas is best known for Dorothy and Toto and the fact that she didn't believe they were there anymore... Whether or not you are "in Kansas anymore" you can fly this flag! Especially if you are fond of blue.

Kansas entered the Union on Jan. 29, 1861, as the 34th state. A fiercely agricultural state, Kansas is one of the leading farming states. The name is Sioux.

The flag of Kansas is a dark-blue background with the state seal in the center, and the word "KANSAS" in gold is below the seal. A sunflower (the State floral emblem) on a bar of twisted gold and light blue (representing the Louisiana Purchase) is above the seal
