60 Inch Pirate w/ Red Bandana "Jolly Roger" Windsock

This appliqued windsock is made of durable nylon fabric for long life.

In the late 1600's and early 1700's Pirates marauded and pillaged the Eastern Coast and Islands of the Americas. Their ships were idenitfied by the Black Flags they flew. The Black Flag was meant to strike mortal terror in their intended victims. Many flags displayed scary images sewn on them to intimidate their victims and encourage them into swiftly surrendering their booty.

A Pirate was willing to fight and die for the vast treasures sailing from the Old World to the Americas over the Atlantic Ocean and Carribean Sea. Red on a flag meant no quarter and no mercy would be given.
