The National Flag of the State of Israel (Medinat Yisra'el)

Although only founded in May of 1948, the State of Israel has a history of Biblical proportions! Did you know that the Israeli's and Arab's lived in harmony until the last century when trouble began, mostly instigated by political greed rather than by ethnic or religious hatred?

The flag of Israel is white with a blue hexagram (six-pointed linear star) known as the Magen David (Shield of David) centered between two equal horizontal blue bands near the top and bottom edges of the flag
