The State Flag of Nebraska (The Cornhusker State)
Nebraska is the home of Buffalo Bill's Wild West show. Of course it is one of the best farming areas in the world - lots of Corn Husking going on there! The name Nebraska is derived from a Siouan Indian expression meaning "flat or broad water," a reference to the Platte River. Nebraska was the 37th state to enter the Union.
Nebraska's flag is another one of the 20 state flags that depict the state seal on some color of blue. Nebraska's blue is not as dark as the US flag's royal blue.
Our version of this flag is made of light-weight polyester for durability. It is a large 3 foot by 5 foot flag, and has a reinforced hoist side, with 2 metal grommets. |
